The KTKP traditional materia medica record (M0003910) gives the origin species as Alisma orientalis (Sam) Juzep (= Alisma plantago-aquatica var. orientale Samuels), the part used as 덩이뿌리, and the properties as 감담(甘淡), 무독(無毒), 한(寒). It lists 방광(膀胱), 신(腎) as the channels entered. The same record cites the Donguibogam (1613) as the source for its indications.
